Camera Zizanio, The next step!

In our last call for entries for the 10th Camera Zizanio in early September, we declared that despite the tough economic period, this year’s anniversary organization “could be more glorious than ever”. To many, such a claim seemed in vain. We will disprove them.

Despite the fact that this year we have half the budget, the festive December 2010 will be unlike any other. We have no secret recipe. CAMERA ZIZANIO THROUGH THE OTHERS EYES

This year  Camera Zizanio, the biggest festival of young people’s audiovisual creation in Europe, celebrates its 10th anniversary.

During these years, hundreds of young creators came to Greece to present their films. Some of them were inspired by our Festival, Ancient Olympia, Pyrgos city and made new films:  Fiction, documentaries or animation films.

With extracts from these, we produced our film  «THROUGH THE OTHERS EYES”, which highlights the unique atmosphere of this event.

Presenters are two “children” of the Festival, Gesthimani Roumpani and Dimitra Myftari.

Enjoy it!

Camera Zizanio is here!

I cannot believe I have come to say that “time passes quickly”. I cannot believe Camera Zizanio celebrates its 10th anniversary… And this is why 3 years now that I’ve finished school and have been living in Athens, every December I act like nothing has changed and I go back to our Film Festival.

It all started by watching films from the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young people and this is how I got “infected”. That was not long before I took part in the Zizanio Newspaper and my 1st direction workshop. I kept going more into things, by travelling to foreign Film Festivals, participating in a more demanding, more “personal” workshop, the Daily News and finally by presenting the Camera Zizanio Film Festival.
