Camera Zizanio

Third year of very strict austerity, financial squalor of large portions of the population, deconstruction of the social state, of record high unemployment in the Eurozone. The fight for survival, the first choice.

But despite that grim state there is a Greece that creates. A new generation that keeps its eyes open to the future. This paradox, on the one hand, phenomenon, we noticed last year when the entries to Camera Zizanio soared from 70 to 180.

All things considered it was not a momentary glimmer. It was not a short-lived phenomenon. This year’s entries surpassed the ones of last year, reaching 190! A fact which means that there is a deep current flowing underground. And pushes us forward. A current that from what it seems, is not only a Greek phenomenon. Similar images come from the entries from Spain, Italy, Ireland. Maybe it’s the same current that brought, for the first time, films from long-suffering Argentina, to Camera Zizanio!

Wait for the moment that the current will rise up to the surface.

Then, many smiles will blossom.
