Camera Zizanio

I could upload many photos and videos from Tara Mountain but nothing is compared from being there by yourself.

At 1.100 meters above the sea level , away from fumes, surrounded by trees and fresh air, I consider Mitrovac as the perfect location that could be chosen for this camp/workshop to be held.

The houses mountain style  that were called  “pavilions” made the atmosphere more relaxing and existed as the most spending time place for participants.

The camp was organized by Media Education Centre Belgrade  from 29th July to 9th of August 2010.

There were a lot of participations from European countries, as well as volunteers from MEC. There was also a representing team of Camera Zizanio from Greece consisting of Kiriakos Haritakis, Panagiotis Agridiotis and Konstantina Tounda. We had also the company of the youth philharmonic orchestra of Belgrade with whom we had a great time.

The meetings were held in a classroom which contained editing workstation, animation boxes and paper material for our activities. It was also used as a “studio” for many films.

In those 9 days there were a lot of activities, including the Guernica project, the 48-hour film project, the documentary film, short films and animation. There was also an English classroom every evening that encouraged the communication in English, of which the schedule was flexible so as to practice many things like learning the Serbian language!!

Some of the participants had also the chance to visit Emir Kusturica’s village and take a 2 hour ride with the train throughout unique landscapes.

The final day was a real festival with music, dance and different emotions.

No matter how much I write on this page the fun that everyone had there, the experience and the spirit of creativity can not be told by words.
