Workshops: the most creative actions!

One of the most creative actions of the Olympia Festival and the Camera Zizanio are the cinema workshops, where professionals from the cinema are offering to young people their knowledge and experience allowing them to tell their own stories through the camera.

The participants, junior high, high and college students, are becoming acquainted with the language and the art of cinema, are creating their scenarios, are shooting and editing short films.

The 13th edition of the European Meeting of Youth Audiovisual Creation – Camera Zizanio is taking place in parallel with the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People.

150 films from all the European countries participate in Camera Zizanio. Compared to last year, more films participate in the Greek section, i.e. 185 films by 175 schools from all over Greece.

Moreover, 30 films will be screened in the international panorama section and in special screenings.

During DUFF 2013, Film Festival of the Children and Youth of the Mediterranean Countries, which was held in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 17-20 October there was a very pleasant surprise for us. The organizers had included in the festival programme a special presentation of The mythos project, which consisted of screenings of 10 short films that were produced in the city of Pyrgos during 15th Olympia Film Festival for children and young people and 12th Camera Zizanio. The 2nd Youth Cinema Conference, that was held in Carlovac, Croatia concluded on September 12, 2013, by the signing of a MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING for the creation of a European YOUTH CINEMA NETWORK – (YCN). The 1st Seminar was organized in Norway, a year before. Read more of this post
