THE START OF A JOURNEY

The long journey of films that were created by youngsters from Greece will start the following month.

We are pleased to inform you the first participation of the films abroad:

-The film “Mother of Memories” by the Evening High School of Mytilini will be screened atFirst Cut! Youth Film Festival in Cork, Ireland (March 11-14, 2020).

-The films “Mnemosyne” by the 2nd General Lyceum of Igoumenitsa, “Santa Ciao!” by the film workshop of 21st Olympia International Film Festival and “Beautifuls Days” by Klaudia Pashnjari will be screened at the VII International Youth Film Festival “Plasencia Encorto” in Plasencia, Spain (March 26-29, 2020).

We’d like to congratulate all young filmmakers!

Biggest than ever this year’s Camera Zizanio’s program!

With 241 films from 48 countries and all continents, 19th Camera Zizanio stands for the Youth Audiovisual Creation worldwide.

The films participating in the competition program were selected out of more than 2000 entries! Selecting the most representative ones was a difficult task!

102 films from 31 countries at the European Section: Armenia, Austria, Belgium, North Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, France, Germany, Georgia, Denmark, Czech Republic, UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Cyprus, Latvia, Belarus, Lithuania, Norway, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Scotland, Slovenia, Sweden and Turkey. And if we add Greece, then it makes them 32!!

Analytically: 24 films in Category A’ (children’s films up to 12 years old), 41 films in Category B’ (youngsters’ films from 13 to 16 years old) and 37 films in Category C’ (youngsters’ films from 17 to 20 years old).

31 films from 16 countries at the International Section: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, USA, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Canada, China, Lebanon, Mexico, Bangladesh, Oman, Philippines.

Least but not last, 109 films were selected for the Greek Section. Films meeting the standards of Camera Zizanio out of the 130 who were submitted. Therefore, we have 90 schools from all over Greece and one from Egypt as well as 9 films by individual creators, from all age categories.

Analytically: 28 films in Category A'(26 schools and 2 individual creators), 53 films in Category B’ ( 51 schools and 2 individual creators)and 28 films in Category C’ (23 schools and 5 individual creators).
