Camera Zizanio

Twenty years ago, when we started, we knew that we were going to swim against the current. In an era of a massive production of subculture, we were fighting for a children’s and youth cinema of quality, as well as, for the confirmation of the audiovisual teaching method as a substantial element of the modern education.

Two years ago, when the crisis aroused, the current became even stronger. “It’s not possible spending money on culture, the same time salaries, pensions, social benefits are being cut down”, they nastily say us. Ignoring, of course, that art and culture are basic elements of democracy. We were almost engulfed by the torrent.

At this moment, something really strange is happening. The number of the 70 participations in the Camera Zizanio’s Greek Sector is increased to the number of 180!
Almost the same thing happens with the participations coming from abroad. And, besides the bad economic situation, there is a strong desire from the participants traveling to Pyrgos, to meet us.
It seems with a counterattack!
