Yiannis Aggelopoulos and Maria Balaska, with a very long presence and contribution to the Festival’s activities, they represented “Camera Zizanio” on this important event, organized by the Ministry of Education of Austria.

Their first trip abroad, offered by the “Olympia International Film Festival”, was a significant experience for both of the “Zizania”.

The awards ceremony, that has lasted three days, was carried out from the 19th until the 22nd of October. The students from the Austrian schools, who were distinguished in the fields of video, radio, comics, internet and more, were parading one by one to introduce their works of art and receive their prizes.

The Austrian Minister of Education attended the Ceremonial Opening and stated her full concern and support to the Event.

On the part of Greece, the movie which was participated and shown was “What’s in a Name?” by Lilena Marinou, while Yannis and Maria had the occasion to address to the populous audience and present the Greek Festival.

The Greek representatives were pleased to notice that “Camera Zizanio” and “Olympia International Film Festival” have gained devoted and good friends in Austria. Robert, teacher in the field of Visual Arts, constantly refers to his students for the Greek Festival.

Groups of children and young people have already sent their movies to participate in the 16th “Camera Zizanio”. They are packing their bags and preparing their trip to Greece on the 3rd of December. This year we are expecting the largest representation from Austria.
