Camera Zizanio

For the third year, Olympia International Film Festival and Camera Zizanio continue their summer cinema activities by providing a rich cinematic spectacle to the inhabitants of the small villages of Ilia.

Actually a new institution called “cinema in the squares” has been created and is very popular.

Every night we visit a different village.  The screen is set up in squares, schoolyards and -for the first time this season -at beaches where a great number of people attend the screenings there!

In this way, we revive the travelling cinema which had been very popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

We screen quality films for children and young people, all from Youth Plan’s film archive.

The screenings will run throughout the months of July and August, as well as the first days of September as there’s heavy demand!

Olympia Film Festival and Camera Zizanio will not be missing this year’s Port Festival which takes place from August 1- 3, 2016. We’ll be there by having our own spot, where the young guests can attend our animation workshops.

Port Festival is a music festival organized by youth groups from Ilia region and it is taking place at Katakolon port  with huge success.
