Another educational mission of Camera Zizanio abroad, the second one this year, was held with great success. This time the destination was Northern Europe, Ireland.
Kiriakos who participated in the Greek team with Sofianos and Lito transfers his impressions.
” Before the end of the first month of spring, Camera Zizanio, sends 3 of its people at the Fresh Film Festival in Ireland, opening new horizons in the multidimensional activities of our Festival.
The trip in Ireland had, as a goal, the participation in an international film workshop which took place in Limerick from 20-24 March 2013. The participants from Greece, Norway, Croatia, Denmark and Netherlands divided into teams to create short lenght movies.
Although the time given was short, the young film makers, some of them known to Camera Zizanio, managed to receive an applause from the contributors with their smart ideas, during the projection of their movies.
The first day we watched more than 70 films made by young Irish creators, some of them making their point, giving us to understand that the future of cinema is expected to be bright, with the current conditions at least.
So, a combination of film projections and workshops was enough for those 4 days to give us time of inspiraton and creation. The contributors of the festival were very friendly and the technical equipment adequate, with a lot of cameras, microphones and an editing room full of brand new computers.
For the young readers of the article. Don’t be afraid to travel to new places, on the contrary chase it. Learn and explore. Only by that you will become better, as creators… and as humans.
From Laura Gaynor:
