In memory of Alexis
One year ago, on the 6th of December 2008, when some 15years old children were coming on the stage of Ilia’s Prefecture in order to receive their awards, a 15years old child in Athens was falling dead from police officers’ bullets. His name was Alexis Grigoropoulos.
A bit later, when Olympia’s Film Festival and Camera Zizanio’s ceremony lights turned off, the fires of a juvenile revolt, that convulsed the whole country for one month, turned on.
One year later we are expecting our new celebration of young people’s audiovisual creation on the 4th to 12th of December. But, last December is still alive. No one forgot as after that December nothing is the same.
From Camera Zizanio’s friends, especially the ones abroad we would like them to tell us how do they -and society in general- feel about what happened in Greece.
They may send short texts at camerazizanio@gmail.com. Texts can be in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German. We will publish them in our blog. In memory of Alexis.
