CALL FOR ENTRIES

The end of the summer finally brings us towards the finishing line for the great winter feast of young people’s audiovisual expression, in Greece: The European Meeting of Young People’s Audiovisual Creation, known as Camera Zizanio.

For the 8th time, Pyrgos (Prefecture of Ilia) and the Olympia International Film Festival of Children and Young People are getting ready to welcome the youth creations from Greece and all over the world, as well as their creators – with great joy and impatience/anticipation – to this remarkable and unique festival. Lately, the situation in the area of audiovisual creation and communication has radically changed, mainly with the incredibly wide distribution of digital recording media of moving pictures, but mostly with their impressive possibility of transport through fast internet immediately all through the planet.

For the first time so many people have the possibility to create audiovisual works, but also the possibility to “present” them to so many people, no matter how far they are, just a few seconds after the work’s completion. Read more of this post

Εισαι 12-25 ετών; Σου αρέσει η ιδέα να πεις μια ιστορία ή να μιλήσεις για τον εαυτό σου με μια βιντεοκάμερα;
Μπορεις να συμμετάσχεις στο Διαγωνισμό βίντεο μικρής διάρκειας -από 1 έως 5 λεπτά- στα πλαίσια του Φεστιβάλ “Stranger” που θα διεξαχθεί στο Αμστερνταμ τον Ιούλιο του 2008 και στο οποίο συμμετέχουν νέοι από 20 χώρες της Ευρώπης.

Κανε κάτι που σε εκφράζει, κάτι που μιλάει για σένα, κάτι μικρό, έξυπνο, αστείο ή σοβαρό.
Οι πέντε καλύτερες συμμετοχές από κάθε χώρα θα φιλοξενηθούν στο Αμστερνταμ κατά τη διάρκεια του Φεστιβάλ (3-5 Ιουλίου). Εκεί θα συμμετασχουν σε εργαστήρια, συζητήσεις, εκδηλώσεις και θα διεκδικήσουν βραβεία ενώ ή δουλειά τους θα προβληθεί σε τηλεοπτικούς σταθμούς και σε μουσεία και φυσικά θα προβάλλεται on line στο site του Stranger.
Ομως μήν αργείτε! Τα video πρέπει να υποβληθούν το αργότερο μέχρι την 1 Μαίου!
Στην Ελλάδα το πρόγραμμα συνδιοργανώνεται από την Αστική Μη Κερδοσκοπική Εταιρεία “Καρπός. Κέντρο Εκπαιδευτικών Δράσεων και Διαπολιτισμικής Επικοινωνίας”.

One more festival gone by, a cinematic fortnight and especially the last week of the main screenings, successfully behind us now, with more unique moments added to our lives!

Yet another fantastic awards ceremony, with the birthday cake delivered by children from all over the world, singing Happy Birthday to Dimitris Spyrou in their languages, and a fantastic program with songs from Hatzidakis and Theodorakis!!

The Zizanio awards funny as always, made us all laugh!!
