Ευρωπαϊκή Συνάντηση Νεανικής Οπτικοακουστικής Δημιουργίας
From May 12th to May 14th, Camera Zizanio was the official guest of the Balòss Film Festival in Milan, Italy. In the impressing venue of the Cineteca di Milano, Manolis Melissourgos, General Coordinator of Camera Zizanio, had the opportunity to present four youth creations from our workshops in the festival’s international competition program.
From the cinema workshop “So, I’ll Tell You a Myth,” we presented two amazing animated films: “Alpheus and Arethusa” from Vartholomio High School and “The Myth of the Anigrídes Nymphs” from Zacharo Gymnasium. These two youth creations coordinated by workshop leaders Aris Kaplanidis and Ilias Roumeliotis.
The multinational workshop Mythos Project of Camera Zizanio certainly could not be missing. The film “Imagine” from the 11th Mythos Project in 2021, already awarded and traveled to foreign festivals, and the film “I am a Woman,” a film that touched everybody at the closing ceremony of the recent Olympia Festival, conveyed images of Pyrgos and the sense and know how of the Mythos Project to the young filmmakers and guests of the Balòss festival.
A presentation of Camera Zizanio and the Olympia Festival was given before the screening, as well as an interesting discussion about audiovisual education in Greece. The program was repeated on Sunday at the Teatro Bruno Munari.
We wish our new friends in Milan every success in their new festival, and we are already planning the next steps of our collaboration.
Το τριήμερο 12 με 14 Μαΐου, η Camera Zizanio ήταν επίσημη προσκεκλημένη του Balòss Film Festival, στο Μιλάνο της Ιταλίας.
Στον φιλόξενο χώρο της Ταινιοθήκης του Μιλάνο, ο εκπρόσωπος της Camera Zizanio Μανώλης Μελισσουργός, είχε την ευκαιρία να παρουσιάσει 4 νεανικές δημιουργίες στο διεθνές διαγωνιστικό πρόγραμμα του φεστιβάλ.
Από την δράση «Έναν Μύθο θα σας πω» , παρουσιάσαμε δύο καταπληκτικές ταινίες animation: Αλφειός και Αρέθουσα, του ΓΕΛ Βαρθολομιού και Ο μύθος των Ανιγρίδων Νυμφών του Γυμνασίου Ζαχάρως. Πρόκειται για νεανικές δημιουργίες με συντονιστές εργαστηρίων τον Άρη Καπλανίδη και τον Ηλία Ρουμελιώτη.
Το πολυεθνικό εργαστήρι Mythos Project της Camera Zizanio, δε θα μπορούσε ασφαλώς να λείπει από μια τέτοια παρουσίαση. Η ταινία Ιmagine, από το 11ο Mythos Project του 2021, ήδη βραβευμένη και ταξιδεμένη σε φεστιβάλ του εξωτερικού και η ταινία I am a woman, μια ταινία που μας συγκίνησε στην τελετή λήξης του τελευταίου Φεστιβάλ Ολυμπίας, μετέφεραν εικόνες του Πύργου αλλά και την αίσθηση και την τεχνογνωσία του Mythos Project, στα παιδιά και τους καλεσμένους του φεστιβάλ του Baloss.
Πριν την προβολή, προηγήθηκε μια παρουσίαση της Camera Zizanio και του Φεστιβάλ Ολυμπίας αλλά και μια ενδιαφέρουσα κουβέντα για την οπτικοακουστική εκπαίδευση στην Ελλάδα. οι ταινίες προβλήθηκαν και την Κυριακή στο Teatro Bruno Munari.
Ευχόμαστε στους νέους φίλους μας στο Μιλάνο κάθε επιτυχία στο νέο τους Φεστιβάλ και ήδη προγραμματίζουμε τα νέα βήματα της συνεργασίας μας.
A window to the world opened for 2 Zizania, Ageeliki Alikaki and Pagona Triantou, who showed off their talents in the cinema workshops of the 22nd Camera Zizanio and 25th Olympia Festival – Mythos Project and Daily News.
Together with Camera Zizanio’s Coordinator Lito Theodosiou, they traveled from Pyrgos to Linz, Austria, to participate in the YAAAS! festival cinema workshop. The Crossing Europe Film Festival celebrated its 20th Anniversary Edition and YAAAS! , its youth section invited 40 young cinematographers from Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, and even Vietnam.
“Our collaboration with peers from different countries gave us the opportunity to learn about new cultures while developing our creative skills in the field of cinema. The experiences we gained were unique, as we don’t get the chance to participate in such festivals every day.”
These budding filmmakers created short films that expressed their unique point of view on the youth perception of living in Europe.

Camera Zizanio is extremely proud to be the inspiration for the creation of YAAAS! festival, and we are delighted to see it overflow with liveliness, talent, and imagination for the past five years. Young people actively participate as programmers, jury members, hosts, workshop leaders, and more. A big congratulations to our close friend and partner Robert Hinterleitner, Lea Bernhard, and the talented youth team from the HBLA School of Arts and Linz University of Arts.
CAMERA ZIZANIO-ΑΝΟΙΧΤΟ ΠΑΡΑΘΥΡΟ ΣΤΟΝ ΚΟΣΜΟ: YAAAS!YOUTH FESTIVAL, ΑΥΣΤΡΙΑ
Ένα «παράθυρο στον κόσμο» άνοιξε για τα δύο ζιζάνια, την Αγγελική Αλικάκη & την Παγώνα Τριάντου, που μέσω της συμμετοχής τους στα κινηματογραφικά εργαστήρια (Μythos Project, Daily News) της 22ης Camera Zizanio & του 25ου Φεστιβάλ Ολυμπίας βρέθηκαν –μαζί με την Γενική Συντονίστρια Λητώ Θεοδοσίου, από τον Πύργο της Ηλείας στο Λιντζ της Αυστρίας!
Ο λόγος; Για να συμμετάσχουν στο κινηματογραφικό εργαστήριο του Φεστιβάλ YAAAS! που αποτελεί το νεανικό τμήμα του CROSSING EUROPE FILM FESTIVAL (25/04-01/05/2023) το οποίο φέτος γιόρτασε τα 20α του γενέθλια!
“Η συνεργασία μας με συνομήλικα άτομα από διαφορετικές χώρες μας έδωσε την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουμε νέους πολιτισμούς, ενώ ταυτόχρονα αναπτύξαμε τις δημιουργικές μας δεξιότητες ,σε ότι αφορά το κινηματογραφικό τομέα. Οι εμπειρίες που προσκομίσαμε ήταν μοναδικές, καθώς δεν μας δίνεται καθημερινά η ευκαιρία για τη συμμετοχή μας σε τέτοια Φεστιβάλ”
Εκεί, παρέα με άλλους 40 νέους/νέες από το Βιετνάμ, τη Σουηδία, την Ελβετία και την Αυστρία, δημιούργησαν ταινίες με σκοπό να δείξουν την οπτική των νέων για τη ζωή στη σημερινή Ευρώπη.

Είναι ιδιαίτερη η χαρά μας, όχι μόνο γιατί η Camera Zizanio & το Φεστιβάλ Ολυμπίας αποτέλεσε πηγή έμπνευσης για τη γέννηση του ΥΑΑΑS! αλλα κυρίως γιατί από το ξεκίνημά του, 5 χρόνια πριν, είμαστε παρών σε ένα φεστιβάλ που ΞΕΧΕΙΛIΖΕΙ από τη νεανική ζωντάνια, το ταλέντο & τη φαντασία των νέων που συμμετέχουν ενεργά στο φεστιβάλ ως Young Programmers, μέλη της κριτικής επιτροπής, παρουσιαστές, υπεύθυνοι εργαστηρίων κ.α.
Συγχαρητήρια στον Robert Hinterleitner (φίλο και στενό μας συνεργάτη), τη Lea Bernhard αλλά και στην ταλαντούχα ομάδα νέων από το HBLA School of Arts & το Linz University of Art.
Two films from the 22nd Camera Zizanio, “Fake Jewelry” by the 1st Lyceum of Keratsini and “The Ball is Mine” by Pablo Soto, were selected to take part in the competition program of the 10th Placencia Encorto, International Youth Film Festival. This amazing event was held in the stunning city of Placencia, Extremadura, Spain from the 17th to the 22nd of April.
| The talented young filmmaker, Lefteris Kordatzis, and his educator Yannis Pappas, winners of the 2nd prize in the 22nd Camera Zizanio, had the privilege of experiencing a three-day trip full of cinema, events, workshops, and even a lecture about cinema in the school. They made many new friendships and possible collaborations, too! |
Not only did the festival attendees get to bask in the world of cinema, but they also got to explore Placencia and Caceres, a UNESCO world heritage site.
What makes this event even more remarkable is that it was created by educators and is supported by local teachers and cinematographers voluntarily. We applaud their dedication and passion for the art of cinema and education.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 10th Placencia Encorto, International Youth Film Festival. We look forward to seeing more fantastic films and supporting emerging filmmakers and meet them in Pyrgos this December for the 23rd Camera Zizanio.
CAMERA ZIZANIO- ANOIKTΟ ΠΑΡΑΘΥΡΟ ΣΤΟΝ ΚΟΣΜΟ: PLACENCIA EN CORTO FILM FESTIVAL, ΙΣΠΑΝΙΑ!
Δυο ταινίες από την 22η Camera Zizanio, «Φο Μπιζού» από το 1ο Λύκειο Κερατσινίου και “The ball is mine” του Πάμπλο Σότο, συμμετείχαν στο διαγωνιστικό πρόγραμμα του 10ου Placencia Encorto- International Youth Film Festival. Το Φεστιβάλ έλαβε χώρα από τις 17 εως τις 22 Απριλίου στην γραφική Πλασένθια, στην Εξτρεμαδούρα της Ισπανίας.
Ο νεαρός κινηματογραφιστής Λευτέρης Κορδατζής μαζί με τον υπεύθυνο εκπαιδευτικό Γιάννη Παππά, εκπροσωπώντας την κινηματογραφική ομάδα του 1ου ΓΕΛ Κερατσινίου, νικήτρια του 2ου βραβείου στην 22η Camera Zizanio, είχαν την ευκαιρία να ζήσουν ένα τριήμερο ταξίδι γεμάτο σινεμά, εκδηλώσεις, workshops και μια πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα ομιλία για τον κινηματογράφο στο σχολείο. Φυσικά, προέκυψαν νέες φιλίες και πιθανές συνεργασίες μεταξύ των καλεσμένων του Φεστιβάλ
Πέρα από μια γενναία δόση νεανικής οπτικοακουστικής δημιουργίας, οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν την ευκαιρία να ξεναγηθούν στην πόλη της Πλασένθια αλλά και στο Κάθερες, πόλη που ανήκει στην Παγκόσμια Πολιτιστική Κληρονομιά της Unesco.
Αξίζει να τονίσουμε ότι το Φεστιβάλ δημιουργήθηκε από εκπαιδευτικούς και στηρίζεται στη εθελοντική συνεισφορά εκπαιδευτικών και ανθρώπων του κινηματογράφου. Συγχαρητήρια σε όλους τους συμμετέχοντες και ανυπομονούμε να δούμε τις νεότερες δημιουργίες τους στον Πύργο και την 23η Camera Zizanio.
In March 22-26, Camera Zizanio traveled to Zurich to participate in the Schweizer Jugendfilmtage – Festival Ciné Jeunesse, where we attended the annual conference of the Youth Cinema Network. There, we had the opportunity to meet with friends and collaborators from various youth film organizations and entities specializing in audiovisual education for young people and exchange experiences, practices and know how with them.
Camera Zizanio also presented a program curated for this year festival, titled “Focus: Greece,” which included a selection of films with a social and political theme titled “The World is on Fire.” The selected films were created by young people from Greece and included: “The Sheeplee” from the 7th Lyceum of N. Smirni, “Touching the Dream” from the Music High School of Alimis, “Small Fears” from the Ritsona Refugee Camp, “Morning Comes in Yedi Kule” from the 8th High School of Peiraus, “Harmonica” from Pelagia Hatzinikita, “Trapped” by the General Lyceum of Pefkes, “Out of Borders” from Dimitris Papanastasiou & “How to” from Manos Ladas.
Through this collaboration, the young Greek filmmaker Manos Ladas, who participated in the 22nd Camera Zizanio with his film, was given the opportunity not only to present his film “How to” as part of the focus program but also to participate in the Talent Film Camp of the JugendFilmFestival as one of the 20 young people selected from Europe and Asia. This partnership allowed for a fruitful exchange of ideas and perspectives between different youth film organizations and demonstrated the importance of international collaboration in promoting youth creativity and expression through film.
CAMERA ZIZANIO-ΑΝΟΙΧΤΟ ΠΑΡΑΘΥΡΟ ΣΤΟΝ ΚΟΣΜΟ: SCHWEIZER JUGENDFILMTAGE, SWITZERLAND!, EΛΒΕΤΙΑ!
Τον Μάρτιο, 22-26, η Camera Zizanio ταξίδεψε στη Ζυρίχη και το Νεανικό Κινηματογραφικό Schweizer Jugendfilmtage – Festival Ciné Jeunesse!
Για να συμμετάσχει στο ετήσιο συνέδριο του Υouth Cinema Network, όπου είχε την ευκαιρία συναντησει φίλους και συνεργάτες από διάφορα νεανικά κινηματογραφικά, οργανισμούς και φορείς που ειδικεύονται στην οπτικοακουστική εκπαίδευση των νέων και να ανταλλάξει μαζί τους εμπειρίες και γνώσεις.
Για να παρουσιάσει το πρόγραμμα που επιμελήθηκε για το φετινό αφιέρωμα του Φεστιβάλ με τίτλο “Focus: Greece”. Με μια επιλογή ταινιών της Camera Zizanio με θεματική τα κοινωνικοπολιτικά ζητήματα και τίτλο “The world is on Fire”. Το αφιέρωμα προβλήθηκε στον κινηματογράφο Albatron και η αίθουσα γέμισε με μαθητες/τριες των σχολείων της περιοχής.
Οι ταινίες που επιλέχθηκαν, δημιουργήθηκαν από νέους/νέες από την Ελλάδα και είναι οι εξής: “The sheeplee” – 7ο Λύκειο Ν.Σμύρνης, “Αγγίζοντας το όνειρο”- Moυσικό Σχολείο Αλίμου, “Small Fears” – Δομή Προσφύγων και Μεταναστών Ριτσώνας, “Ξημερώνει στο Γεντί Κουλέ”- 8ο Γυμνάσιο Πειραιά, “Φυσαρμόνικα” – Πελαγία Χατζηνικήτα, “Trapped”- Γενικό Λύκειο Πευκών, “Out of borders”- Δημήτρης Παπαναστασίου”, “Θάλασσα μνήμη”- ΓΕΛ Αγ. Μύρωνα και “How to”- Μάνος Λαδάς.
Μέσω της συνεργασίας αυτής δόθηκε η δυνατότητα στον νεαρό κινηματογραφιστή από την Ελλάδα, Μάνο Λαδά (που συμμετείχε με ταινία στην 22η Camera Zizanio), όχι μόνο να παρουσιάσει την ταινία του “”How to” ως μέρος του αφιερώματος αλλά & να συμμετάσχει στο Talent Film Camp του JugendFilmFestival ως ένας από τους 20 νέους/νέες από την Ευρώπη & την Ασία που επιλέχθηκαν.
